  1. We set a small cooking pot on our cooker and add 2 cups of rice, 4 cups of water and one teaspoon salt to it.
  2. The Rice will be cooked on full heat 7-9 minutes until there is no water left. In between we stir.
  3. We wash the Basil and cut it into small pieces.
  4. If the rice is ready we add the margarine and the basil. We stir everything and flavor with salt.
  5. We cut the tofu into cubes.
  6. We peel the onion and cut it into four pieces. Then we assemble the onion into it's shells.
  7. We wash the Paprika, core it and cut it into medium-sized pieces.
  8. You take one skewer and skew succesively Tofu, Onion and Paprika.
  9. We heat some Olive Oil in a pan (Oil-height about 1 cm)
  10. If the Oil is hot we give the shashlik-skewers into the pan and let them fry on each side 1 minutes. Then we lower the heat to medium-heat and fry them on both sides 3-4 minutes until they are ready.
  11. For the sauce we give 150ml Ketchup into a bowl, add 3 peeled and smashed cloves of garlic and 1-2 teaspoon paprika-spice. We stir and afterwards.
  12. Now we can serve everything together: The Rice belongs in one side of our plate, the shashlik in the other. Additonally we flavor our Shashlik with black pepper right out of the mill. We also add our Shashlik-Sauce.
