What you need for 2-3 persons:

  • 2 1/2 cups oat flakes
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 tablespoon soy flour
  • 2 vegetable bouillon cubes (about 2 teespoons)
  • vegan mayonnaise
  • 2 teespoons paprika spice
  • 2 teespoons curry
  • 5-6 tablespoons flour

For the salad:

  • some field salad
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar or citron juice
  • 1 dash black pepper out of the mill
  • salt
  • 15 minutes of your time!

  1. At first we peel the onion and chop it into small pieces.
  2. We wash the carrots and we use a grater to rub them into small pieces.
  3. Now we heat some olive oil in a frying pan.
  4. We add the onion pieces and fry them for about 3 minutes.
  5. We add 2 1/2 cups of water, 2 vegetable bouillon cubes, 2 1/2 cups oat flakes and the grated carrots. We stir everything for about 1 minute until we add the content to a large bowl.
  6. We add the soy flour, the paprika spice, the curry spice, the flour and flavor everything with salt. Now we stir everything until we get a dough.
  7. We form some flat burger the size of a palm of the hand. To prevent the dough from cleaving we dip our hands in the water.
  8. We fry the burgers on middle-heat on each site 5 minutes until they are ready.
  9. Now we can prepare our salad.
  10. We wash the tomatoes and the field salad.
  11. We cut the tomatoes halfs.
  12. For our salad sauce we mix the vinegar with the olive oil and flavor with fresh black peper and salt.
  13. Now you can serve everything together with some vegan mayonnaise.
